Oh, boy! It's a boy!!

On 11-10-11 we found out we are having a boy! Although we are at a loss for boy names, it has been fun to get our minds ready for a son, and to be able to stop saying "it" and start saying "he". The ultrasound was great-got to see lots of detail like his spine, kidneys, bladder, feet, arms, legs, face, etc. We also saw him yawn! Steven said, "Yep, he's mine! He's sleepy like me!" Let's hope he really is a good sleeper! At 24 weeks, they estimated he weighs 1lb9oz. Above are a few pictures. 1) face 2) arm-we think it looks like a popeye arm! 3) boy!

Nursery continued...

The crib/changing table came in! It makes the room feel much more baby-ready. I try to leave the door open so when I walk by I am reminded of this upcoming change lurking in our lives. :) It is nice to have a hubby who is so good at putting 'box' items together! I would just give up, but he plugs right along...it is the engineer in him.

Our "Babymoon"

I kept hearing about couples who go on a 'babymoon' before their baby's arrival. A chance to take a trip? Yes, please! We decided to go to Chattanooga the weekend of November 11-13 and had a great time! Chattanooga is the perfect distance away and has the perfect combo of city and nature all wrapped up in one. We stayed at The Read House right downtown. We hiked, ate, shopped, swam, and just had fun being together. It will be a great memory for us.

24 Weeks

Getting a belly! I wore maternity pants for the first time on this day!

Let the nursery decorating begin!

My parents came a few weekends ago and helped get us motivated to start the nursery. Mom re-did a rocking chair, and Steven painted all the trim in the room. It is starting to look good in there!!

21 Weeks

Here is a picture of me at 21 weeks. I am going to try to take a picture every 4 weeks. I meant to start at 20 weeks, but who's counting? :)

Becoming a blogger...

Well, technologically savvy I am not, but pregnant I am. I have always kind of wanted to have a blog, but figured our mundane lives would just be boring! Now that we have a baby on the way, I thought a blog would be a good way to keep in touch with out of town family and friends who are interested. My blog will be simple, honest, and happy just like our lives are together...so, here it goes!
